SWAPW is a completely volunteer-run organization that relies heavily on the support of our parents, whether it is as a coach (head coach or assistant coach), team parent, or volunteering through participation during the games. Game Day Volunteers are required at all games; positions range from down markers, work the chains, MPR, run the play clock and cover concessions/merchandise. Football families are required to volunteer at minimum 3 games and cheer parents are required to volunteer at minimum 1 game per season. Team parents will communicate volunteer needs/schedule throughout the season. Sorry but no exceptions can be made regarding volunteer commitment; you can ask friends, neighbors, family to take your place.If you are interested in volunteering for the positions listed below, please include which position(s) during the registration process otherwise send an email to [email protected]. Please note these roles require you to complete a volunteer form and we will process a background check. Head or Asst Coach - additional certification training will be required for both football and cheer coaches. Football experience and knowledge of the game is vital to ensure the players are given proper instruction in order to participate safely and develop for head football coach. We are currently looking for head coaches for Mitey Mite and Pee Wee football teams and all Cheer divisions. Asst Coach positions currently available on all teams.Team Parent - ideally, we like to have two team parents per team. This position is critical to the success of each team's season. This person communicates information from the coaches and league on to the parents and helps coordinates game day volunteers. This position is also in charge of putting together the team book, which provides all the required paperwork for each player on the team (a Pop Warner requirement). Training will be provided by Hill Country Pop Warner in mid July and on-going season support from the SWA Team Parent Coordinator.Team Photographer - you will have field access to all games and take pictures throughout the season; we request that pictures will be uploaded to a shared team site for parents/SWA Social Media Coordinator to view. Board Member - various positions are needed to form the SWA Board annualy. Board Meetings are held 1xmonth year round. Please see the "About Us" tab to view current openings.
